Climbing Peñón de I’fach

The beauty of the Peñón is that there are so many routes on it that if you know where you're going, you can combine some of the best pitches of several parallel routes to make one memorable day climbing this monolith. Such was the case during the first week of November. Here we scaled some immaculate rock and avoided some of the less enjoyable pitches to turn the day into an amazing ascent.

Excellent weather accompanied us throughout the day. The south face receives all the sun going and that was the case for the first 5 pitches, but then some thin clouds blocked out some of that heat and we cruised the remaining 3 pitches to the top. As always, incredible views abound from the 332m summit.
