Patagonia Hut to Hut Hiking

Patagonia Hut to Hut Hiking

Patagonia Hut to Hut Hiking is a once in a lifetime experience. Join Bigtime Aventura on this extraordinary 9-day hut to hut hiking adventure. In total, we will spend 12 days together in Patagonia Argentina. If you're looking for an authentic Patagonian experience without the tourist traps and crowds, look no further, this is the trip for you.

Prominent glaciated volcanic peaks straddle the border between Argentina and Chile and dot the landscape in this region. Deep glacially carved lakes are found seemingly over every pass and around every corner.

Hiking in these mountains is fun and interesting. The terrain continually changes. The Andes are rugged and steep in this area of Patagonia so be prepared for some challenging days. Not all of the days are difficult though. We follow some nicely maintained trails but also veer off the main trails to experience some rugged rocky mountain terrain. Depending on conditions, we will most likely hike through some snow fields a few times.

The most Authentic hut to hut hiking trip in Patagonia!

This is the most authentic hut to hut hiking trip in Patagonia. You will stay at bona fide mountain huts, eat authentic Patagonian food, and meet the real Argentine people of the region. The hike incorporates a little bit of all the natural areas found in this region. We will hike through lush low valleys, up and over rocky ridge lines, and possibly cross snow fields depending on existing conditions. We will see several snow-capped volcanoes, both dormant and active! Condors will fly unnervingly close overhead but the view of these behemoths will surely make you awestruck. There are many glaciers and we will get up close and personal with one of the biggest in the area. Additionally, we will hike over lava fields from an ancient volcanic explosion and even sleep at a hut on the slopes of one of the highest volcanic peaks in Patagonia.

Get ready for an incredible hiking experience in one of the world's last truly untouched regions. This trip will undoubtedly be memorable and unique and some have even described it as a life changing experience. As an added bonus to this wonderful hiking trip, the final day concludes with two catamaran transfers across two glacial lakes. This perspective from glacially carved lakes brings another level of awe to the area where you had been hiking for the previous 9 days. Simply amazing! Contact us to get started!
