Spain Hotel to Hotel Hiking

Spain Hotel to Hotel Hiking

Spain Hotel to Hotel Hiking

Spain Hotel to Hotel Hiking. This trip brings you to the beautiful Costa Blanca region of Mediterranean Spain. Winter sunshine, blue skies, and stable weather make this one of the best places in the world for winter hiking. The journey starts on the coast and then we hike through the rugged and sublime mountainous terrain just inland. Over the course of this 8-day hiking adventure, you'll experience the Costa Blanca from a unique perspective. We'll visit bustling towns with local markets, sleepy hamlets to relax away the evenings, and discover hidden enclaves loaded with cultural patrimony.

This trip takes the hut to hut hiking mentality but transforms it into a less rigorous approach, where a hotel or bed & breakfast awaits you in the evening. That doesn't mean the days are less exciting. The hiking is exceptional. Excellent hiking trails and dirt roads are the name of the game in the mountains while cobblestones and asphalt roads greet you in town.

Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is a well-visited area in the summer. It's very hot here and flocks of tourists line the beaches and overcome the bustling coastline accommodations. However, winter in the Mediterranean is hiking season. Fewer people go into the mountains which makes for a peaceful and relaxing experience taking in the warm winter sun on the trails.

We'll start on the coast and weave our way through the Costa Blanca region, finishing at a small town inland. This linear route allows us to explore several different ecosystems with unique flora and fauna. The changes in altitude provide niches for biological and ecological diversity to flourish. We'll start at sea level but we'll reach elevations of 1550m.
